Soccer mania party setup
Monday, 07 June 2010 13:36
This is a great theme for energetic boys and girls – especially if they can have a game of soccer afterwards.
Host the party at a venue with ample space and a grassy patch for the great finale “the Final”.

Invitations
There are so many ideas to choose from but the one I love best is a mini paper mache soccer ball. The party details will be (invitation) hidden inside the ball and they will have to kick it around to smash it.
Another idea is the famous vuvuzela with the details attached to the base and a request to “Bring you game on”.

Decorations
Decorate the party area in the chosen team colours and decorate the area to look like a soccer pitch.
Alternatively if we going with the world cup theme we could have the entrance to the area lined with the different flags and all the players will make a grand entrance. The boys could come dressed as their chosen country to add to the fun.

At the entrance have a soccer ball for each of the guest to autograph as a keepsake for the birthday kid.
Alternatively on arrival each guest is allocated to a team and given a sweat band and his vest. ( This could be pre-arranged and the name of the players could be printed on the vest

Party tables set-up
Make individual place-mats for each guest with the country they are representing.  The winner gets a prize.
Have the numbers of the players jerseys printed on the backs of the chairs.
The cake will be placed on a mini soccer pitch in the centre of the field. Definitely a soccer ball cake or a large cake decorated as a soccer pitch.

Anthems of the different countries could be played in the background

Menu
What do soccer players eat?  They love anything that adds to their stamina:
  • Africa Kick of Sarmies
  • America Mini Mascot  Burgers
  • Italian referee pizzas
  • Around the world cheese flags

Refreshments
Penalty Punch
